Just a Whole Lot of Fun

Road Rash is currently my favorite game on the 3DO console. I have enjoyed this game since my days of arcade gaming, and the 3DO version is faithful to it's arcade roots. In cases like this, it would surprise me if everyone reading this review doesn't already know if they like a game like Road Rash. It has seen many systems and arcades, and I think by now if you are interested in it, you have played at least one of it's versions. In my opinion, this is the best home console version available.

The graphics are smooth and maintain a high frame rate. I found the control to be tight, and very user friendly. The sound is very good for the 3DO, and makes a nice addition to the overall gameplay experience. Everything just comes together nicely in this version of the game.

I could go on and on here describing tracks and such, and they do deserve to be described. They are well done. The bikes look good, too. The fun to be had here though is beating the bejesus out of your opponents with whatever you can grab. This game may be too violent for the little ones, but it is great fun for the rest of us. Highly recommended for you 3DO owners.
