From Lynx to the Jaguar

Ok, for starters, I've never played the Lynx version of Blue Lightning that everyone says is just fantastic and so much better than the Jag CD version, but I won't let that stop me from reviewing this version. This version of the game was the pack in with the Jag CD when it was finally released, and was a great disappointment at the time, but is it worth your time today?

The graphics aren't great. Not for a Jag game, and certainly not for a Jag CD game. This game could have been so much more, but despite it's flaws, it has some fun to offer the dedicated Jag fan. I found the controls to be fairly easy to master and for the most part responsive. The frame rate could have been better, especially considering the platform, but it isn't so bad as to render the game unplayable. I really like this game, and I play it often (and no, it isn't because I don't have any other games for my Jag Cd). Sure it could have been, and should have been, better, but it is what it is. Some will like it, others won't, but you can get it on the cheap, so check it out.
